It all started when…

Kelli Foster is a recipe developer, cookbook author, recipe tester, food writer, and culinary producer - but first and foremost she is a home cook who loves grocery shopping and helping people solve the oft-dreaded question of “what’s for dinner"?”. She loves approachable, low-effort high-reward recipes that make smart work of pantry items, condiments, and whatever happens to be lingering in the fridge.

Kelli has spent over a decade on the editorial team at The Kitchn where she’s developed hundreds of recipes (plus styled and photographed many of them) and written about everything from ingenious cooking tips to meal planning. She is also the creator and author of the monthly Dinner Therapist column, where she offers practical, fun advice and recipes to make cooking dinner less complicated and more enjoyable.

Kelli is the author of the cookbooks, Plant-Based Buddha Bowls, Buddha Bowls, and The Probiotic Kitchen, as well as co-author of The Meat-Free Kitchen and Super-Simple Plant-Based Recipes for Beginners.

Kelli is a graduate of the University of Scranton and French Culinary Institute, and lives with her husband and son in New Jersey.
